Runnymede Collegiate Institute briefly on lockdown after reports of person possibly armed with gun

Runnymede Collegiate Institute was briefly on lockdown on Friday following reports of a person possibly armed with a gun inside the school.

Toronto police said the call came in at 3:22 p.m. and officers responded to the school located in the area of Jane Street and Dundas Street West.

Shortly after, officers cleared the school and lifted the lockdown.

No person with a gun was located and no injuries were reported, police said.
