Suspect vehicle sought in Brampton hit-and-run that injured woman

Peel police have released images of a suspect vehicle in a hit-and-run in Brampton last week that injured a woman.

Police said a call came in shortly before 6 p.m. on Jan. 9 for a pedestrian who had been struck by a vehicle in the area of Ray Lawson Boulevard and Falstaff Drive, east of Mavis Road.

The driver “made no attempt to check on the person they struck” and continued travelling west on Ray Lawson Boulevard, police said.

Meanwhile, the victim suffered fractures and was taken to the hospital, where she is recovering.

The suspect vehicle is described as a white, four-door 2010-2015 Honda Civic with front damage. Police said debris from the vehicle was recovered at the scene and is being analyzed.

“Investigators have obtained CCTV and dashcam footage of the vehicle and continue to canvass along its suspected route,” police said.

“The suspect is strongly advised to seek legal counsel and turn themselves in.”
