An elderly woman is in life-threatening condition after being struck by a vehicle in Whitby on Friday afternoon.
Durham police say the collision happened in the area of Brock Street North and Mary Street West, north of Dundas Street East, at 1:15 p.m.
The woman was taken to a Toronto-area trauma centre with serious injuries.
It is not immediately clear if the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene. The circumstances surrounding the collision are under investigation.
