Driver dead following 2-vehicle collision in Kawartha Lakes

A 63-year-old driver is dead following a two-vehicle crash in Kawartha Lakes on Saturday morning.

Ontario Provincial Police say it happened on Highway 35 north of Ballyduff Road around 11 a.m. and involved a car and a cargo van.

The driver of the car, who was from Lindsay, Ont., was pronounced dead at the scene, police say.

Meanwhile, the driver of the van was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.
