Ontario Provincial Police are searching for two suspects following an evening rush hour carjacking on Highway 427 and a subsequent hit-and-run collision on Highway 403 on Wednesday.

Police said a white Audi and a grey BMW collided in the northbound lanes of Highway 427 approaching Highway 401 shortly after 6 p.m.

Two occupants got out of the Audi and confronted the driver of the BMW, police said.

A physical altercation then ensued, ending in one suspect allegedly getting into the BMW and the other into the Audi.

Around 8 p.m., OPP said the BMW was involved in a collision with a grey Mazda in the southbound lanes of Highway 403 near Hurontario Street in Mississauga. Police did not report any injuries.

The BMW did not stop and fled, police said.

No descriptions of the two suspects have been released. Police are asking anyone with information to contact them at 905-841-5777.
