The TTC says service has now resumed on the Finch West LRT after several problems shur down service for much of the morning Friday.

Shortly before 7 a.m. the transit service said debris on the tracks was causing a service disruption and that shuttle buses were replacing regular service between Driftwood and Humber College stations.

Just before 9 a.m., the TTC said there were also communications problems between Finch West Station and Tobermory Station. The line then experienced multiple switch problems.

Shuttle buses were running to replace regular service on the entire line for several hours.

Shortly before 11 a.m., the TTC said regular service had resumed.

The TTC has said it is working to speed up service on the sluggish LRT after a slow start several weeks ago, which saw some customers complaining that bus service had actually been faster than that provided by the $3.7 billion light rail line.
