At least one person was treated by paramedics after fire crews responded to a 2-alarm house fire at a home in Brampton overnight.
Emergency crews were called to a home on Tumbleweed Trail, in the area of Mavis Road and Steeles Avenue West, shortly after midnight for reports of a basement fire.
Brampton Fire and Emergency Services said around 12:40 a.m. that all occupants of the home got out and that firefighters were working to control smoke and flames.
About half-an-hour later they said the fire was under control but that crews would remain on scene to monitor for hotspots.
Images from the scene showed paramedics taking one person on a stretcher into an ambulance. The extent of their injuries was not clear.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
