The Finch West LRT is now up and running after switch issues halted service on the line for hours on Monday morning, the TTC says.

Early Monday morning, the TTC confirmed that there was no service on Line 6 due to “switch issues.”

Shuttle buses ran between Finch West and Humber College stations to supplement service.

Shortly before 8 a.m., the TTC announced that service had finally resumed.

The line launched back at the beginning of December and since that time, the Finch West LRT has encountered numerous service disruptions.

On Boxing Day, there was no service on the line for much of the morning due to switch issues.

The TTC has also said it is working to speed up service on Line 6 after some customers noted that bus service had actually been faster than that of the new multi-billion dollar LRT line.
