A major road closure is in effect in King Ont. after a vehicle crashed into a hydro pole early Saturday morning, leaving live wires across the roadway.
York Regional Police say they were called at around 6:14 a.m. to Aurora Road near Jane Street for a single-vehicle collision.
Police say the vehicle struck a hydro pole, causing the pole to be severely damaged and hydro wires to fall across the road.
Aurora Road is closed in both directions between Jane Street and Highway 400.
There were no reported injuries.
Police say the road is expected to remain closed for the foreseeable future while crews work to repair the damage.
Motorists are being asked to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
