OPP seek witnesses after pedestrian killed in Hwy. 401 hit-and-run in Mississauga

Ontario Provincial Police are appealing for witnesses after a fatal hit-and-run earlier this morning on Highway 401 in Mississauga.

Police say officers were called at around 6:10 a.m. to the eastbound collector lanes of Hwy. 401 at Dixie Road.

Investigators say a 32-year-old woman was struck by a motor vehicle while walking in the area and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver failed to remain, police said.

OPP are urging anyone who was in the area at the time or who may have dashcam footage to contact Mississauga OPP at 905-858-8670.

The investigation remains ongoing.
