Ontario Provincial Police say Highway 401 eastbound between Thickson Rd. and Stevenson Rd. has reopened in Whitby following a multi-vehicle collision.
It’s unclear what time the crash occurred. The incident left the highway lane closed for several hours on Saturday and reopened just before 3 p.m.
One person remains in hospital with life-threatening injuries, OPP said.
