Toronto police say a firearm was discharged at a vehicle in Scarborough early Sunday morning.

Officers were called to the area of Warden Avenue and Ellesmere Road at 7:08 a.m. following reports of a shooting.

Police say the victim reported they were driving in the area when an occupant of another vehicle shot at them.

No injuries were reported, but officers located damage to the victim’s vehicle consistent with gunfire.

Investigators say the suspect vehicle remains outstanding and is described as a silver SUV. The investigation is ongoing.

Northbound Warden Avenue has reopened. Police say some southbound lane restrictions near Canadian Road were in place during the investigation, but all lanes have now reopened.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Toronto police.
