Peel Regional Police are asking for the public’s help identifying two suspects after a woman was allegedly sexually assaulted and robbed at a Mississauga hotel.
According to a news release, investigators say the incident happened on Nov. 22, after an unknown suspect arranged to meet with a sex trade worker at a hotel in the city. Police say two suspects arrived instead and forced the woman into a hotel room.
Police allege the suspects physically and sexually assaulted the woman and robbed her.
“The suspects allegedly tried to tie her up. However, she fought back, forcing them to flee the area on foot,” officials wrote.
Police say the woman did not suffer any lasting physical injuries.
Investigators have obtained surveillance footage of the suspects and a vehicle believed to be involved.
One suspect is described as a black man between 20 and 35 years old, approximately five-foot-six to five-foot-seven, with a heavy build and dark complexion. Police say he had a buzz cut, possibly a beard, and was wearing a white baseball cap, glasses, and a gold cross chain.
The second suspect is described as possibly Hispanic, about 22 years old, approximately five feet tall, with a skinny build. Police say he had an apparent skin condition on his face, described as dry skin or eczema.
The vehicle is described as a silver Mazda 3 hatchback, believed to be a 2004 to 2009 model, with damage to the rear driver’s-side quarter panel and bumper.
Anyone with information is asked to come forward.
