A person is in life-threatening condition after an early-morning shooting near Highway 400 and Steeles Avenue West.
Toronto police say officers responded to reports of an altercation and gunshots in the area at around 4:30 a.m.
When officers arrived, they located a victim suffering from gunshot-related injuries.
The victim was transported to hospital via emergency run, where they remain in life-threatening condition.
The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to come forward.
