2 people stabbed in downtown Toronto, suspects outstanding

Police say up to five suspects were involved in an incident leaving two people stabbed around 1 a.m. this morning on Madison Ave.

Toronto police say two people were injured in a stabbing following an altercation in the city’s downtown core early Saturday morning.

Officers were called to the area of Bloor Street West and Spadina Avenue at around 1:15 a.m. for reports of a disturbance.

Police say two victims were located and transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators say between three to five suspects remain outstanding.

No suspect descriptions have been released.
