Toronto police say a woman was sexually assaulted inside a bathroom stall last week near the Keele Street and St. Clair Avenue West area.

Police responded to the call at around 8:30 a.m. on Dec. 5. They allege the suspect entered the bathroom and “climbed underneath” the stall door before assaulting the victim.

Investigators say the woman was able to escape and the suspect fled the scene.

Days later, officers arrested 31-year-old Quinton Hassan of Toronto.

He has been charged with one count of sexual assault and appeared in court this Wednesday at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre.

None of the allegations have been tested in court.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact investigators or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
