A pedestrian suffered serious injuries after he was struck by a vehicle in Markham on Monday morning.
York Regional Police said the collision occurred near Yonge Street and Royal Orchard Boulevard.
Police said a male pedestrian was taken to hospital in serious condition.
The northbound lanes of Yonge Street are shut down from Centre Street to Thornhill Avenue for the police investigation.
