Published:

Police have closed off a street in the Swansea neighbourhood just west of High Park after an almost metre-deep sinkhole opened last night.

Crews are working to repair a large sinkhole in Toronto’s Swansea neighbourhood on Wednesday morning.

Police were first called to the area of Windermere and Waller avenues at around 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday for reports of a four-feet deep sinkhole.

Two drivers, police said, experienced rim damage as a result but no injuries were reported.

Windermere is currently closed in both direction from Morningside Avenue to Waller Avenue.
