Pedestrian critically injured after collision in Brampton

A pedestrian has been rushed to hospital in critical condition following a collision in Brampton, Peel police say.

It happened in the area of McLaughlin Road and Charolais Boulevard, near Steeles Avenue, at around 10:30 a.m.

Police said a pedestrian was taken from the scene to a trauma centre for treatment. The man suffered life-threatening injuries, according to paramedics.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.
