Ontario Provincial Police say a Hamilton man is facing multiple charges after allegedly driving a pickup truck on three wheels down the QEW near St. Catharines on New Year’s Eve.
According to police, officers at the Burlington OPP detachment received multiple calls about a pickup truck driving on three wheels on the Toronto-bound QEW near Welland Avenue at around 11:20 p.m. Callers reported seeing sparks flying from the vehicle, police said.

The truck was stopped in Grimsby and the driver of the vehicle, identified as a 47-year-old Hamilton man, was arrested for impaired driving, the OPP said in a social media post.
His breath sample registered at over two times the legal limit, police added, and further investigation revealed that his licence had been suspended since 2001.
