Two people sustained serious injuries after a fire at a building in North York early Monday morning.

The fire broke out at a building on Jane Street, near Sheppard Avenue West, at around 3:30 a.m.

Toronto Fire told CP24 that the blaze broke out in a fourth floor unit.

Two people were found suffering from injuries and were taken to hospital in serious condition.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
