This is what Toronto looks like in the wake of the biggest snowstorm it has seen this year
Torontonians are digging out from the first major snowstorm of 2026. Environment Canada has issued an orange-level snowfall warning for the city, with as much as 35 centimetres expected before the storm lets up. Here are the scenes residents woke up to Thursday morning:

The snow was so bad Thursday that the southbound lanes of the DVP were closed at Eglinton Avenue due to minor collisions and black ice. The northbound lanes are also closed at Bayview/ Bloor.
