A collision between a snowplow and a Via Rail train on Thursday afternoon resulted in a hours-long delay on the Lakeshore East GO line.
GO Transit said the collision occurred between Eglinton and Guildwood GO stations.

Crews at the scene told CTV News Toronto that the plow driver was clearing the sidewalk when he got stuck on the tracks. They said the driver managed to get out of the plow before the train hit it.
Via Rail said in a statement that the collision occurred at 1:40 p.m. and involved train 644 operating between Toronto and Ottawa.
None of the 205 passengers and employees on board were injured, Via said.
“VIA Rail acknowledges that this situation, which is beyond our control, has impacted the travel plans of our customers, and we apologize for the inconvenience,” the statement read.

Scarborough Golf Club Road was closed between Dale Avenue and Confederation Drive because of the collision.
