Toronto police have released an image of a suspect wanted for allegedly stealing a delivery truck in the city’s east end on Saturday.

Police said a man parked his white cargo van in the area of Danforth and Jones Avenues at 9 a.m. to make a delivery.

While he was away, another man allegedly stole the van.

Police said they tried to stop the suspect, but he drove away “in a reckless manner.”

A short time later, the van was found abandoned, police said.

The suspect is described as between 45 and 65 years old and was last seen wearing a grey quarter-zip sweatshirt and blue jeans.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact them at 416-808-5500 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
