One person has died and four are in hospital, following a “vehicle into a building” collision in North York on Wednesday afternoon, police said.
The driver and passenger of the vehicle were brought to hospital, along with two other pedestrians, all with non-life threatening injuries police said.
A female pedestrian was transported to hospital via a trauma run, police said in a post on X.
The driver lost control of the vehicle, leading to the collision, police told reporters on Wednesday evening.

The incident occurred in the area of Dufferin Street and Finch Avenue, police said.
A now-deceased pedestrian was ”stuck and trapped" earlier, police told CP24 in an emailed statement.
“He was in the business when the vehicle went through the front, and he was standing there and was not able to get away,” Duty Inspector Jon Rose told reporters.
“He was trapped within the business, between the business and the vehicle.”
