The countdown is on as FIFA officially finalized the full reveal of the 2026 World Cup match locations, with Toronto and Vancouver poised for a major share of the action.

Toronto is set to welcome Germany, Cote d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast), Senegal, Panama, Croatia, and Ghana. Meanwhile, Vancouver will welcome Qatar, Switzerland, Australia, New Zealand, Egypt and Belgium.

The governing body aired a one-hour televised special from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., outlining the full match schedule.

The announcement came less than 24 hours after Friday’s star-studded draw in Washington, D.C., where Canada learned it will open the tournament against the winner of a European playoff before facing Qatar and Switzerland.

Today’s reveal officially finalized which teams are coming to BMO Field (Toronto) and B.C. Place (Vancouver).

12:54 p.m. - World Cup Final in New Jersey/New York

The World Cup final will be held at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on July 19.

The bronze medal match will be held in Miami at 5 p.m. ET. on July 18.

12:50 p.m. - Semi-final matches

There will be two semi-final matches towards the end of the tournament. One will be held in Dallas July 14, at 3 p.m. ET and the other will be held in Atlanta July 15, at 3 p.m. ET.

12:18: Trump the ‘soccer president,’ of the world says Alexi Lalas

Former American soccer player Alexi Lalas called U.S. President Donald Trump “the soccer president” for how much he’s invested in the sport.

On Friday, Trump was awarded the new FIFA peace prize and was praised by Lalas for his historic investment in the sport this year.

10 a.m. - What teams could play here

Toronto is already guaranteed a slate of marquee teams as Groups E, I and L rotate through the city during the opening round. In total, six World Cup matches are expected to be played at BMO Field which will temporarily renamed Toronto Stadium for the tournament.

On June 12, Canada will open its FIFA campaign in Toronto against the winner of the European Play-off Path A which features Italy, Northern Ireland, Wales and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

On June 17, Toronto hosts its first Group L match, a mix of tournament heavyweights and fast-rising programs including England, Croatia, Ghana and Panama.

Two days later, on June 20, Toronto will welcome Group E. That group includes 2014 World Cup champions Germany, along with Curaçao, Cote d’Ivoire and Ecuador.

Another Group L match arrives on June 23, keeping Toronto in the path to experience more competitive action.

The city’s final group-stage game comes on June 26, featuring two nations from Group I headlined by third-ranked France, Norway and Senegal. It should be noted that the group will be rounded out by the winner of a March playoff involving Bolivia, Suriname and Iraq.

Canada will also play group matches on the West Coast: June 18 vs. Qatar and June 24 vs. Switzerland, both in Vancouver.
