2 injured, 1 critically, in 3-vehicle collision in north Brampton

Two people have been injured, including a female driver who is fighting for her life in the hospital, following a three-vehicle collision in north Brampton late Monday afternoon, paramedics say.

The collision happened near Countryside and Moldovan drives, just west of Torbram Road.

Peel Regional Police said they were called to that area at around 4:50 p.m.

They said all of the drivers involved remained on scene, adding that a female driver was transported to a local trauma centre in critical condition.

Peel Paramedics later told CTV News Toronto that they airlifted one person to a trauma centre and a second person to a local hospital with minor injuries. The cdid not provide the age and gender of the patients.

Currently, the intersection is shut down as police investigate. Police are asking drivers to use alternate routes.
