The search continues for the man accused of assaulting a cab driver on Dec. 12th.

Toronto police say they’re searching for man who allegedly sprayed a “noxious substance” on a taxi driver following an argument over a fare earlier this month in the city’s east end.

The incident happened near Woodbine and Danforth avenues.

Police said they were called to that area on Dec. 12 at about 10 p.m. after receiving a call for an assault.

Investigators say the cabbie picked up a man in his taxi.

They say the customer and the taxi driver got into an argument over the fare.

Then, police said, the man sprayed him with a “noxious substance” before fleeing the area.

The suspect is described as standing five-foot-six with a medium build and clean shaven. He was last seen wearing a bright green hooded sweater and black pants, and carrying a black backpack.

This investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact Toronto police at 416-808-5500 or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
