Suspect outstanding after male victim stabbed during robbery in Mississauga

According to police a male victim entered an ambulance division station in Mississauga with stab wounds and was taken to hospital with serious injures.

Police in Peel Region are asking for the public’s help after a male victim drove himself to a paramedic station following an “unprovoked” stabbing following a robbery in Mississauga on Christmas Eve.

The incident happened in the Streetsville area, near Church Street and Queen Street South.

Peel Regional Police said they were called to that area at about 7:20 p.m. for reports of a stabbing.

At the scene, officers located a male with stab wounds.

Victim stabbed multiple times: PRP

Investigators say a one person was walking along a trail in that area when an unknown male demanded they hand over their valuables.

“After the victim complied, the suspect stabbed the victim multiple times before fleeing in an unknown direction,” police said in a news release.

“Without a cell phone to call for assistance, the victim drove himself to a nearby paramedic division, where he was transported to a local trauma centre.”

Police added that his injuries are non-life-threatening.

The victim sustained serious injuries, paramedics noted.

The suspect, meanwhile, remains outstanding. He is described as a white male in his 30s who was last seen wearing a green or blue jacket.
